Ever wondered what goes through someone’s mind as they jump from a helicopter above the Canadian Rockies? Then ride along with the Team KAVU athletes as they wingsuit, skydive, and speedride above scenic Fernie, British Columbia. This film features exhilarating point of view shots of the athletes in flight, along with footage of the raw beauty of mountainous B.C. But as visually stunning as it is, “Why we Fly” is much more than an extreme sport highlight reel. The documentary takes viewers beyond the visceral thrills to explore the emotions, technical preparation, motivations, and camaraderie of the athletes before, during, and after a jump.
